Anastasia10p | ADCC Amateur World Championship Debut

We knew going in that Anastasia was facing a serious challenge. Her bracket was stacked with high-level talent from across Europe.

At just 16 years old, Anastasia is a talented white belt who is only beginning her journey. Stepping onto the mats at an event of this level—and experiencing it firsthand—was already a victory in itself.

The Match

In her opening match, Anastasia faced an older, stronger blue belt with 20 victories—17 of them by submission.

Anastasia showed little concern for the difference in age, strength, or experience. She moved forward aggressively, pulled guard from the clinch, and immediately tried to impose her game on her own terms.

Her opponent shut it down, passed her guard, secured mount, and attacked with an Americana. Anastasia defended. Her opponent transitioned to an armbar—and it was deep.

Anastasia stepped over, defended, and escaped! ❤️

Her opponent eventually regained top position, passed again with heavy pressure, returned to mount, and controlled the remainder of the match to secure the victory on points.

Going the distance against an opponent of this level, at such an early stage in your development, without being submitted is impressive in itself.

More importantly, Anastasia looked like she belonged there.

One day. 💥

Just the Beginning

With the tournament operating under a single-elimination format, Anastasia’s run ended there. But this was an incredibly valuable experience—and only the beginning.

We are extremely proud of you, Anastasia! ❤️🔥

Chin up—we’ve got work to do. Onward and upward, young Shadow Warrior. 🥷👇🏻👊🏻⛩️
